Organizing Account Activity
To make the most of your HelloWallet account, connect the bank accounts that make up your financial picture (credit cards, checking, savings, investments, loans, etc.). This way, you'll be able to see all of your accounts in one place and get a personalized plan that speaks to your financial life. For each account that you connect, HelloWallet will update it automatically and provide you with recommendations. When you’re ready to get started, gather your online banking credentials and search our list of over 12,000 supported institutions.
Reviewing Account Activity
After you connect your bank accounts, HelloWallet will pull in 90 days of transaction history to help get you started. See all of your account activity from the Accounts page: All Transactions view.
HelloWallet automatically categorizes your transactions for you, but you can also set your own preferences for auto-categorization. When you change a transaction category, you will see a pop-up message asking if you want all future transactions with the same description to be categorized the same. Click this message to apply the rule.
HelloWallet has 28 default categories. Use the categories in a way that makes most sense to you. You can also create custom categories to fit your needs.
