I periodically use the 'Ignore' checkbox in the Budget feature for transactions that shouldn't be part of my monthly budget. Is there any way to see those transactions or export them so I can monitor that category over time?
As a related comment, it would be nice to have a category that doesn't count towards the budget, but you could still see in Trends. As an example, I don't imagine anyone budgets for car trouble. So if an unexpected expense like that hits, I'd still consider myself as having met my budget if all my other expenses were in line.
There is no separate category for “Ignored” transactions. They remain within the category in which they are ignored. Ignoring a transaction only excludes it from calculations in your Budget. I can suggest created a flag for these transactions if you would like to track them separately.
The “Everything Else” category consists of all spending categories that you do not regularly plan for that can include unexpected expenses such as car repair. Whether it is planned for or not, if the spending exceeds your Take Home Income or planned spending for the month, HelloWallet will consider you as overspending for the month. You have the option of Ignoring these transactions from the Budget.
